DEAL LIFESTYLE, spatial design project in Chengdu — We deconstructed and reshaped the process and design of a show venue, turning the store's circulation into a runway that progresses layer by layer, extending continuously from the exterior facade to the third floor. At the same time, we built a city-level three-dimensional display window, creating dramatic show-like interaction between the interior and exterior spaces and constructing an artistic street show venue.

Street Show / A Grand Show

DEALLIFESTYLE is a fashion trend concept store that collaborates with various sports and streetwear brands and regularly holds limited-edition sneaker release events. Its brand spirit originates from the streets. This time, the project is being reconstructed and upgraded in its original location, hoping to elevate the spatial texture and give consumers the feeling of being able to reach fashion week simply by putting on clothes.

Therefore, we positioned the store's keyword as "show venue." A show venue is a visual experience in which time, space, and people perceive one another.

A Flexible Narrative Show Venue In this upgrade, we proposed reforming the spatial structural system. On the basis of the original store, we optimized the spatial layout, broke the limitation of two floors, and opened part of the floor slab to allow upward growth. In the transition from the first floor to the second floor, a cantilevered structure is used to create a mezzanine, amplifying the spatial circulation path and forming a mezzanine runway with volume.

We also made design adjustments to the compressed floor height, allowing the first, second, and third floors to present different bodily experiences and creating different levels of intimacy in the space. A large amount of mirror material is also used on the ceiling, making the mezzanine light and not oppressive. As the visual core of the store, the mezzanine space activates the entire interior of the space, and also activates the layering of the facade, increasing the store's display capacity while building an open and flexible narrative show venue for DEALLIFESTYLE and other brands.

A Brand-New Trend Attitude Traditional trend scenes are crowded and visually cluttered. We sorted out the spatial lines and used the properties of materials to enhance the spatial texture. The biggest highlight of the spatial materials is two gray materials: smooth stainless steel and rough concrete. Placed in front of large areas of goose-yellow warm-toned walls, they form a contrasting visual effect, giving this trend retail space unique tension.

Metal lines intersperse the warm-toned walls. Custom stainless steel irregular-structured shoe display racks and full-length mirrors both use the visual impact of lines to highlight the power of structural aesthetics. After sorting out and deconstructing street style, we retained the eye-catching street graffiti symbols of trend stores while balancing a high-quality spatial atmosphere. Graffiti is used with restraint, preserving the unique tone of a trend store while also giving it a completely refreshed visual feeling.

Therefore, we placed the trend symbol on the central column, running through the entire space within the blank areas. The entire column also naturally extends from the store's exterior visual into the three-story display window of the whole space, opening up street culture with a brand-new attitude.

A Cutting-Edge Trend Soul Technological innovation has become an important driving force for spatial renewal, and trying new things is also the soul of trend. Breaking convention, we used a non-traditional island cabinet design and PETG material 3D printing to print iceberg sculpture display islands, placed at the center of the entire space.

The two display islands, one transparent and one semi-transparent frosted, form special three-dimensional ripples through 3D printing. Combined with built-in lighting, they present a unique light-and-shadow penetration effect and bring a brand-new visual experience. Multiple curved units appear one after another, also giving customers a special tactile experience.

Custom acrylic clothing rods are interconnected with metal, creating a dynamic yet refined trend atmosphere experience field belonging to DEAL, breaking the public's perception of trend spaces and challenging new aesthetics of spatial installation. Lighting also focuses on customers, stimulating their senses from the fitting process and immersing them in desire. Push open the door of the fitting room and put on a grand show within DEALLIFESTYLE.
