The moment food and drink emerged as commodities, they fundamentally transformed people's lifestyles from the inside out. Dining spaces have also participated in reshaping every evolution of commerce. In this projeot,Xiao Ou Design explores the role and impact of spatial design on restaurant operations. Aligning with thecharacter of its location, the space presents a hospitality experience distinct from conventional Japanese and Chinese restaurants.

The dynamism of wings is expressed through linear forms within the space — orderly arrangements of feather-like lines cascade from the storefront to the ceiling in layered progression. This avian motif extends into pattern and texture details as well, with figurative references to birds in full spread. Upholstery fabrics feature jacquard weaves depicting birds among florals, while the lacquer painting of flying birds at the entrance extends continuously into the private dining rooms' decoration.

Through thorough communication with the owner, analysis of Japanese dining habits, and on-site research, we arrived at the insight of "shelter." Located in Naning's commercial heart at Jinling Zhonghuan, this bustling corearea makes private respite particularly rare. We strategically divided the dining area into multiple semi-privatezones. Decorative curved partitions create a wing-like enclosure, offering a sense of seclusion Post-openingeedback from the client confirmed that this design approach unlocked greater operational potential for the establishment.
